Dog care is of the upmost importance here and you can tell by how happy and sweet the dogs are. The kennel is clean and well maintained and all of the dogs are taken care of and in good health. The tours are amazing, you have the choice of either being driven on the sled or driving yourself. All in all you get to cover some real distance with the dogs (12 km minimum) so you get the real feel of being out in the wilderness. The dog paths that are used are private and so you don’t come across snow mobiles or other dog tour companies, making the experience that much more authentic. I got the opportunity to do a Workaway here and I can 100% attest to the passion that Jordana and Kent have for what they do and for their dogs. I highly recommend booking a tour through them if you want an authentic and all around amazing expe read less

Started the morning @ the Tourist office where we got picked up by Levi along w/ 2other guys from Singapore. When we got to the location, Jordana helped us w/ snowsuits & boots. Levi, who was also our musher took us dogsledding. The Sunday weather was cold but sunny which made our ride enjoyable- taking in the spectacular views of the mountains, frozen lakes, sooo beautiful sceneries like in the movies! We stopped halfway & got the chance to pet the dogs & took some pictures. Then we got inside the lavvu & enjoyed our snacks in front of the fire. Levi gave us an insight into the lives of the huskies & dogsledding. Very knowledgeable guy, with good sense of humor. When we returned to the kennel, we had the opportunity to see & hold the puppies, thanks to Joel who was there to help us. The entire staff were efficient, organized & made our experience memorable. Highly recommended! read less

The dogs are stunning and friendly. Have some warm layers on if you visit in the winter though as it gets cold but you soon forget that when you see the breathtaking views. The guides Ben who picked us up on time & drove us out to where the adventure began was lovely and Lisa who took us out with the dogs were charming & genuine.
After being suited & booted it was off to meet the dogs, from there on in such an experience to remember. Highly recommend this company, an amazing day that I can’t forget. A huge thank you to all involved. read less

The dogs were well cared for and in good condition. They were surprisingly friendly, I hadnt expected that but it made interacting with them even better.
The company provided outerwear and each day we had to get the Huskies ready to pull the sled and also to feed them during and at the end of the day.
Travelling like this I saw beautiful winter landscapes and some wildlife - reindeer and moose.
Jordana, one of the people who run the company, was of great assistance to me. Before the trip she communicated with me on a regular basis and provided lists of what to pack and such like. During my trip she supplied me with lovely home cooked vegetarian food which was a real bonus.
Something I hadnt expected was lunch in a teepee. This really added to the overall experience. At the end of the trip we returned to the kennels and I was delighted to meet some Huskie puppies. This trip is something I have wanted to do for many years and it totally lived up to and exceeded my expectationa
Overall it was the most amazing experience. Thank you Jordana!

Our guide was very easy to chat to and shared his vast knowledge of the dogs, the location and life in general. The dogs were so well trained and friendly - and who wouldn't get in a kennel full of puppies? Definitely the high point of our trip to Kiruna (we missed the aurora, but this more than made up for it).
We're hoping to get back to see the northern lights next year and another trip to Husky Tours Lapland will definitely be on the agenda! read less

Great experience! The sled dog ride was incredible! We had taken the morning formula (without driving) and the experience was magical. We were lucky to have a snowy weather and therefore to enjoy a white landscape.
During the ride we were able to discuss with our guide Lisa, who talked to us about her experience, the dogs, the kennel and was very nice to us. In the middle and at the end of the walk, we were able to caress the dogs and feed them. Lisa also took us around the kennel to show us the different dogs and sleds. We could also share a coffee around a fire with 2 other guides who were very nice. We felt that they were very attentive towards their dogs, and that they were very important to their well being.
In short, this experience was incredible, very caring and friendly guides. I highly recommend it! read less

I thought that it was a tour with big groups of people but actually it was quite private (we were only 8) and it was just AMAZING!
From the pick-up to the campfire at the end of the tour everybody was sympathetic and benevolent.
The sled is easy to drive by anyone as Lisa takes the time to explain it well.
Thank you for this unforgettable memory! read less

We were met in Kiruna, and after a short drive arrived at the husky tour location. We were asked if we'd like to be together (5 of us), as normally the sledges and team of huskies carry 4 people, and they were able to accommodate us by using a stronger team of huskies. Our guide was humorous and very knowledgeable which added to the whole experience. We stopped for a coffee in a tipi half way to refresh and get some warmth back in our toes, enabling us to cuddle and play with the dogs. When returning back to the kennels, we helped out by releasing the dogs from their harnesses allowing them to go back into their kennels.
Overall really happy with the whole experience and team, they clearly have a lot of love a respect for the Huskies, something which I think is very important for these types of businesses. read less

It had just snowed so the landscape was stunning. The staff was fantastic and you could tell the dogs were very well taken care of. The ride itself was so much fun - it was so cool to be able to drive your own team! I’m not even much of a dog person (allergies) but I felt completely in love with our team of five dogs (also didn’t feel allergic at all!) They’re super friendly and playful, and it was great to also get to help feed them and put them away in their kennels at the end. One thing I’d say is be sure to dress warm! It wasn’t even a particularly cold day when we went but the 2h ride was perfect - any more and I’d have been too cold (even though I was wearing full ski gear underneath the overalls they gave us!) All in all a fantastic experience - you’ll regret it if you don’t go!! read less

The volume raises and falls away. And as the dogs prepare to set out on their run, they’re excited calls whip up the other dogs that are to be left behind and does not fall away until the anchor brake comes off and todays adventure begins.
The dogs set off as if released from the racing traps and soon we escape the lights of the lodge and we’re into the forest. The snow has fallen afresh and the track is more camouflaged than most days but the dogs know their way and they charge into the night. As we leave the forest into the open land, such beauty - picture perfect. The air is crisp and it’s so quiet. Only the pants of the dogs, the patter of their paws on the snow and the sliding of the cart with the occasional break to keep the gap between the rider ahead. It’s so peaceful. I’m so lucky. I reflect in the moment that as dreams go, it was worth the wait.
Back at base, the dogs are fed, unharnessed and returned back to their homes. One by one, they’re all checked back in and then it’s time to meet the youngsters. We meet the 6 month olds first, two young dogs that like affection. One climbs my knees to get the most attention. Afterwards, it’s on to the pups. They’re one month old. They’re tiny - impossibly small. They shiver as their minute paws with spread legs touch the snow. I grab armfuls of them and tuck them all together. Their fur is soft. Their tiny ears. The snow is falling on their little black furred bodies. I put them down and grab another two and watch the ones I let go stumble over to their mum to see if she’ll let them fed. She won’t, it’s not time. And more of these little black puppies flood from their nest. Nine in all. Becoming more confident in their paws as we’re there with them and tussling with one another. And too soon, it’s time to leave. Time to leave this wonderful place and go back to our realities. A priceless experience and one I’ll remember forever. read less
