From start to finish was an amazing experience. I completed a 5 day trip with Husky Tours (organised via charity challenge) which included a stay over in a tipi and a few nights in a wilderness cabin. Both were an amazing experience and I’m so pleased I had the opportunity to stay in both. The tipi was a real eye opener to Sami life. Kent, Jordanna and the rest of the team were incredibly welcoming and made you feel a part of their family. We were given good training on how to care and look after their dogs over our stay. The dogs were friendly, loving and loyal and I couldn’t have asked for a better team of dogs to work with along my trip so thank you Rex, Marshall, Tiger and Bjorn. The food that was provided on our stay was phenomenal! Jordannas baking is amazing and the meals were hearty and warm which is just what we needed after a days sledding in the cold. Kent was knowledgable with the sledding routes and gave us lots of information about the wilderness, Swedish life and the dogs. I can’t express my gratitude to Jordanna and Kent for the experience they have given me! I will forever remember this magical trip. Thank you so much. Really nice people and wonderfull track in an Winter Wonderland. You can really see how much Kent and Jordana love the dogs and love what they are doing. We got picked up from Kiruna by Kent. When You are there you get warm clothes for the ride and than you go on a amazing trip. I felt really save during the hole tour because of the nice and competent guidance. Also the dogs seemed to have a lot of fun during this trip. They really love to run. Afterwards we got warm coffe and tea at the fireplace and we had a nice chat where we learn ed a lot about the dogs and the people here.
So all together an amazing experience and totally worth the money. read less

We have been picked up at Kiruna Tourist Center and we were taken to the beautiful location in the woods near Svappavaara. The member of the staff then explained the main commands for driving the sled and led us through a magnificent landscape in which we spent unforgettable moments. At the end of the ride, friendly staff members shared insights into the world of dogsledding as we sipped tea and coffee and ate cinnamon rolls around a cozy fire. Finally they allowed us to visit the puppies box, very cute and super lively! In summary, an excellent afternoon! If I had to find a flaw, it would be that I spent too little time in contact with puppies! read less

Ci hanno vestito come astronauti visto il freddo, ci hanno portato davanti alla slitta e spiegato tutto...importante è frenareee!! Poi saliti a coppie sulla slitta con 6 husky..e via!! My partner and I had so much fun greeting the dogs, even harnessing them to our own carts! We learned their names and their personalities, and that was before the trip even started! Riding on the carts was exhilarating. Our pups did such a good job running us up and down little hills and into streams. The landscape was gorgeous! Even though... read moreIt's heartwarming to see those happy and eager dogs. The moment we arrived they really wanted to run. Even though we chose a non-busy day (just the 2 of us), the guide took a lot of time to explain us how to drive the sled and how to leash the dogs. After all dogs have been personally introduced, we were ready to start a 1,5 hours trip through a winter wonderland. Back in the camp they welcomed us with warm coffee/tea, a cinnamon bun and a warm, traditional, fire heated tipi. The tour ended with a cuddle tour through most of the kernels and of course with puppies :)
I would recommend this tour to everybody who loves to be outside in the wilderness and the appearance of happy and wonderful dogs. We were not treated like tourists, we have been guests! read less

It became the highlight of our entire vacation. We still feel the same excitement and energy while mentioning it to everyone we know! The hosts were super nice, the travel guide who drove us to the kennel, the person responsible for the clothes etc. and of course our tour guide. The most happiest part was to see the lovely dogs, all so eager to just run into the wilderness. The moment we stopped in between for a warm tea and tasty cinnamon buns, the dogs got so restless as they just wanted to continue run. We also compliment the entire team involved for taking such a super nice care of the dogs and loving them like a family! Special shout out to the owner: you have made such lovely trails that we just couldn't stop appreciating it throughout the tour and even after that :) It shows the hardwork and the passion you put for the work :) … read less

We booked it on a... read moreStop looking for things to do in Kiruna, and sign up now for this tour! We booked it on a whim, and we still can't get the smiles off of our faces. Anna and Jordana took great care with us and patiently answered every one of our questions (we are Americans). We range in age from 33 to 74, and we all enjoyed our time tremendously. It is quite obvious that they 1) know what they are doing, 2) care deeply about their dogs, and 3) want their customers to have the best experience possible.

Don't think that because there isn't snow that you can't have a great time with the carts. They are a ton of fun, and zipping through the private trails of the forest with happy dogs was sheer bliss.

Tips: 1) Dress weather appropriate and understand that you will get dirty/wet/a bit stinky. 2) Get your hands dirty and help with the dogs--that's part of the fun. 3) Overcome any fear about driving the carts or dealing with the dogs. They will take care of you.

Allereerst was ik nogal overrompeld door de honden die zo graag willen lopen dat ze op voorhand alleen maar blaffen! Hoe gemotiveerd kan je zijn?!
De honden worden perfect verzorgd en op een tour als deze, met 2 overnachtingen in de lodge op een eiland, worden ze ook je eigen verantwoordelijkheid doordat je ze zelf gaat verzorgen en eten geven. Over "bonding" gesproken.
De uitleg en de zorg vanuit Husky Tours is uitstekend. Als je in de gelegenheid bent om een tocht te maken, kan ik Husky Tours meer dan van harte aanbevelen. read less
