Our transfer from the ice hotel was seamless, we had a fantastic and unique experience driving the husky sled for a few hours and watched the sun set! My partner loved meeting the puppies and we were both ready for fika around the open fire at the end! The dogs were very well trained and clearly well loved. Highly recommended! read less

The volume raises and falls away. And as the dogs prepare to set out on their run, they’re excited calls whip up the other dogs that are to be left behind and does not fall away until the anchor brake comes off and todays adventure begins.
The dogs set off as if released from the racing traps and soon we escape the lights of the lodge and we’re into the forest. The snow has fallen afresh and the track is more camouflaged than most days but the dogs know their way and they charge into the night. As we leave the forest into the open land, such beauty - picture perfect. The air is crisp and it’s so quiet. Only the pants of the dogs, the patter of their paws on the snow and the sliding of the cart with the occasional break to keep the gap between the rider ahead. It’s so peaceful. I’m so lucky. I reflect in the moment that as dreams go, it was worth the wait.
Back at base, the dogs are fed, unharnessed and returned back to their homes. One by one, they’re all checked back in and then it’s time to meet the youngsters. We meet the 6 month olds first, two young dogs that like affection. One climbs my knees to get the most attention. Afterwards, it’s on to the pups. They’re one month old. They’re tiny - impossibly small. They shiver as their minute paws with spread legs touch the snow. I grab armfuls of them and tuck them all together. Their fur is soft. Their tiny ears. The snow is falling on their little black furred bodies. I put them down and grab another two and watch the ones I let go stumble over to their mum to see if she’ll let them fed. She won’t, it’s not time. And more of these little black puppies flood from their nest. Nine in all. Becoming more confident in their paws as we’re there with them and tussling with one another. And too soon, it’s time to leave. Time to leave this wonderful place and go back to our realities. A priceless experience and one I’ll remember forever. read less

The owner guided us through the kennel, telling us about the husky dogs and their life, how they are bread, what their needs are and how they behave in pack. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our 10-year-old daughter was allowed to choose to go into any kennel she wanted and was very excited throughout the whole visit. During the tour, we sat down for tea and cake together. The highlight was meeting a 4-day old puppy, which didn't open its eyes for the first ti read less

Luckily husky tours had some free spots in the afternoon. We knew it wasn't snowing and was unsure of how the tour would run but they sure did surprise us. This tour was all hands-on; from harnessing the dogs up for your own cart ride to also feeding the dogs after your ride. We got to closely interact with all the gorgeous and one of a kind huskies. Our guide Anna was amazing and so friendly! Not only did we have a great time but we were also chauffeured there and back to our hotel. What a great experience- would definitely recommend! read less

And the owner informed us that they will refund the money since we didn't manage to have a ride that day. Nevertheless the kennel visit was really fun and homey 😍 Jordana was really nice and kind, she showed us around and let us play with fluffs! 💖 The dogs were really friendly and energetic. One of the most memorable places I went to on my first eurotrip. Her small family of 4 were really welcoming and nice! I really adore her kids, they're so adorable. Definitely will visit here again and book a ride! Hopefully I can survive the winter though 😂
(p.s. and it was really surprising that Jordana's origin country is the same as mine. We talked a lot about food, and I feel bad for making her missing those asian foods haha) read less

Although the snow wasn't thick enough to do snow shoe hiking (luckily), we had plenty to do. The guides would stop at different areas to introduce the environment to us and we barbecued marshmallows and got to drill our own holes for ice fishing. We ended the tour with a visit to the kennel with the puppies and a warm lunch by the fire in a tent. The guides were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend them read less

When our rental car company gave away our car and then the bus we were counting on never showed up, we were left stranded several hours north and could not make our scheduled tour. Thankfully Husky Tours did not cancel our trip, but thoughtfully listened to our situation and rescheduled us for the following day. The woman we dealt with was kind, professional, and treated us as people, not just paying customers.
Our dog sledding adventure was great! We enjoyed driving our own sled and loved the beautiful scenery. Everyone we met — from the shuttle driver, the woman suiting us up, the guide and other helpers— was just as nice as the first woman we spoke to. The company loans out warm clothes and boots which was super great as otherwise I think we would have been cold. ( wear your warm layers underneath even if it feels like too much— you will be glad you did) After the sled ride we all sat around a fire and had a hot drink and a cinnamon roll. We really enjoyed the opportunity to talk with our guide and ask questions. He never seemed rushed or annoyed with us, even when we kept finding things to ask. He was knowledgeable, patient, genuine and truly seemed to care for the dogs. After that we returned the heavy boots and snow suits we had borrowed and then spent a few minutes with a handful of the younger dogs.
All in all, a great way to spend the afternoon! We highly recommend this activity and this company. read less
