Husky Tours Cancellation Policy

Please read Husky Tours Lapland's cancellation policy carefully. Husky Tours Lapland reserves the right to decline any booking. Husky Tours Lapland reserves the right to cancel any booking if credit card fraud is suspected.

Cancellation made by you:

Any cancellation must be made in writing. Cancellation fees are determined by the date the letter is received by Husky Tours Lapland. All cancellation fees are written in percentage of the total tour price.

Cancellations :

– 60 days prior to the start of the tour; incurs loss of the agreed amount for the deposit (25 percent).

– 59 days and 46 days prior to start of the tour; the cancellation fee is 30 % from the total tour cost.

– 45 days and 30 days before start of the tour; the cancellation fee is 50 % from the total tour cost.

– 29 days and 15 days before the start of the tour; will incur a cancellation fee of 85% from the total tour cost.

-14 days or less before the start of the tour; will incur a cancellation fee of 100% from the total tour cost as will no-shows.

Please note: on our Northern lights tour the aurora is never a guarantee. We run all our trips regardless of the weather conditions. Our cancellation policy will be enforced even when there is a snow storm and it is unlikely to see the aurora.

Cancellation made by Husky Tours Lapland:

In the event that the minimum number required to run a trip has not been met, Husky Tours Lapland reserves the right to cancel the tour. In the unlikely event that Husky Tours  Lapland cancels a tour you can choose an alternative travel date and/or choose an alternative tour. If the newly chosen tour is lower in price than the original tour booked, you will be refunded the difference. You can alternatively also choose the option for a full refund or gift certificate.  

For our longer tours you are notified no less than 14 days prior to the start of the trip. And for daily trips you are notified no less than the day before. Single travellers can book online, even if the requirement has not been met. We therefore kindly request all single travellers to contact us before proceeding with a booking. Husky Tours Lapland reserves the right to cancel any trip if the minimum requirement has not been met 2 days in advanced of the trip.

Force Majeure:

Husky Tours Lapland cannot accept liability or pay any compensation if a booking is affected or prevented from happening as a result of “force majeure”. In the event of cancellations due to force majeure we will offer the guests an alternative tour best matching the tour description of the booked trip (for instance a cart trip instead of sled tour).  Or a gift certificate for the same value as the original trip booked.

In these conditions, “force majeure” means any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Any event may include but is not limited to, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions such as lack of snow and lack of cold temperatures, disease, riots, civil unrest, war, and all similar types of events outside of our control.

Covid 19 Note:  During the ever changing circumstances of Covid 19 in case of new travel restrictions, we will offer gift certificates for any tours that have been fully paid but guest are not able to make it. Please note we do require documentation as proof you cannot travel due to the covid 19 situation. We require this information at least 48 hrs in advanced. For guests who have made the deposit but not the full amount can change the date of travel no later than 40 days before the trip. You can read more about our Covid precautions here
