From start to finish was an amazing experience. I completed a 5 day trip with Husky Tours (organised via charity challenge) which included a stay over in a tipi and a few nights in a wilderness cabin. Both were an amazing experience and I’m so pleased I had the opportunity to stay in both. The tipi was a real eye opener to Sami life. Kent, Jordanna and the rest of the team were incredibly welcoming and made you feel a part of their family. We were given good training on how to care and look after their dogs over our stay. The dogs were friendly, loving and loyal and I couldn’t have asked for a better team of dogs to work with along my trip so thank you Rex, Marshall, Tiger and Bjorn. The food that was provided on our stay was phenomenal! Jordannas baking is amazing and the meals were hearty and warm which is just what we needed after a days sledding in the cold. Kent was knowledgable with the sledding routes and gave us lots of information about the wilderness, Swedish life and the dogs. I can’t express my gratitude to Jordanna and Kent for the experience they have given me! I will forever remember this magical trip. Thank you so much. On the way there we could ask all the questions we wanted about the dogs and what the experience was going to be like. We were informed every step of the way on what was happening. We then greeted our host Lisa who was super friendly and made us feel cormfatble. We got to meet our (dog)team and put the straps on them before heading out. After a stunning and breathtaking ride we had a campfire were we chatted some more with LIsa, hearing all the dog stories. We then got to hang out with the dogs ans puppies some more before heading back. read less

What a fantastic experience, the people and dogs are SO friendly. They really care for their dogs and look after them very very well. Everything has been very well organized and done in a way to make us discover this beautiful place and kind of life. They picked up us in the city center of Kiruna and in less 30min we were totally ready to start this adventure. The tour is very well thought to be deep in the Laponie that you can imagine on a 6 dogs-sled, driving your own sled on iced lakes, in the middle of pin tree forest and in wild nature. With chance, we saw some reindeers close to the track! All the team is very well prepared, the material is adapted and the guide responds to all our questions and was very flexible. After 30 min ride, we have changed driver/passenger and continued the tour. Finally, after 18km, we came back. Then we had time to be closer to the dogs and to the entire kettel. The people, the dogs, equipment were all very good. The countryside and scenery was simply amazing, and the amount of snow, mostly untouched we encountered was beautiful.

Cannot say enough good things about how good our tour was with these guys, highly recommend them if you are thinking of doing it. The genuine love for their animals was something that sets them apart from some other providers we looked at and saw operating. Make sure you really rug up with the clothes becaue it was -21C the day we went, and although they provide suits, we still had several layers underneath and they were all needed.

Take a gopro, as the terrain was spectactular and grea way to get some memories you will never forget. read less

We were going to do... read moreIn my bucket list for sometime,sooo glad to have done this w/ Husky tours Lapland! We were going to do this while in Abisko but tours there were all booked. Started the morning @ the Tourist office where we got picked up by Levi along w/ 2other guys from Singapore. When we got to the location, Jordana helped us w/ snowsuits & boots. Levi, who was also our musher took us dogsledding. The Sunday weather was cold but sunny which made our ride enjoyable- taking in the spectacular views of the mountains, frozen lakes, sooo beautiful sceneries like in the movies! We stopped halfway & got the chance to pet the dogs & took some pictures. Then we got inside the lavvu & enjoyed our snacks in front of the fire. Levi gave us an insight into the lives of the huskies & dogsledding. Very knowledgeable guy, with good sense of humor. When we returned to the kennel, we had the opportunity to see & hold the puppies, thanks to Joel who was there to help us. The entire staff were efficient, organized & made our experience memorable. Our guide Lisa was fantastic explaining us how to ride the dogsled, what to keep in mind and about her work days. We got close with every husky, fed them after our tour and cuddled them. There were also super friendly little puppies - all dogs have been very very friendly and super excited for their tour. We will definitely recommend to book a tour and enjoy some of the best hours you will have in Lapland. read less

The landscape was snowy and we wove among the trees and across fields. It is not difficult to learn and lots of fun to drive. It isn’t as much fun to ride but then you can take photos so that’s OK.
Our guide and the manager could not have been more helpful or more competent in the way they got us suited up and where we needed to go. Then we were off and running. The dogs seemed to love being out except when we braked them to keep them from overtaking the team ahead. They would turn around and give us that look that says “Come on, let’s go fast. We can beat these guys”.
At the end of the ride, they sat us around a warm fire and really spent nice time with us instead of shoving us back into the van to go home.
