We also could pet all the dogs and cuddle them and the puppies. We were answered every question and also had a little Fika. The team is very nice and welcoming and it was so much fun to talk to them! The drive with the cart was so much fun and I can recommend it to everyone! read less

Everything has been very well organized and done in a way to make us discover this beautiful place and kind of life. They picked up us in the city center of Kiruna and in less 30min we were totally ready to start this adventure. The tour is very well thought to be deep in the Laponie that you can imagine on a 6 dogs-sled, driving your own sled on iced lakes, in the middle of pin tree forest and in wild nature. With chance, we saw some reindeers close to the track! All the team is very well prepared, the material is adapted and the guide responds to all our questions and was very flexible. After 30 min ride, we have changed driver/passenger and continued the tour. Finally, after 18km, we came back. Then we had time to be closer to the dogs and to the entire kettel. We had also a fika close to a fire. … read less

The tour description describes it well. we were picked up from the ice hotel by Tina who seemed shy but very friendly once we started to chat. they gave us boots and a windproof jumpsuit. we went on a warm day and my toes still got a little cold so wear lots of layers to keep warm inluding on your hands, feet and head, including a balaclava for your face. Theo was our guide and was very friendly and informative. we enjoyed the whole experience including the sled driving, feeding the dogs, unharnessing them and stroking the puppies read less

Absolutely loved our trip. We were picked up promptly and taken into the wilderness to the kennels. The dogs were all well loved and looked after and all the staff were lovely and friendly. The scenery really is spectacular, we sledded through pine forests and over frozen lakes...we really did feel like we were in Narnia! You are given warm overalls to go over your own clothes and extra warm mittens and hats, it was -20 so much appreciated! After the trip you get to unharness and feed the dogs and have a tour meeting all the other dogs and puppies. Amazing day, highly recommended! read less

We were picked up on time and drove out to the Kennel where we met our guide as well as the dogs. Before starting we were outfitted with proper clothing to keep us warm. We then got to get one team ready ourselves which was a great experience, as we got to find out how the harness etc works. Before taking off we got a short and sufficient intro into the sled and how the stearing, braking etc works. We could already tell the dogs were very excited and eager to go for the run, because as soon as our guide got to her sled they were ready and starting to pull. We rode about 10km in almost an hour and had a great time, riding through the forest and along the creak. When it started lightly snowing it was just perfect! After returning to the camp, we fed and unharnessed the dogs before sitting down by a small bonfire, having some coffee, tea and homemade cake (don't miss the cake, it's amazing!). Jordana took a lot of time explaining us how they take care of the dogs, train them etc. The dogs are very well behaved and also well fed and treated with a lot of respect and care! After a walk through the Kennel and an introduction to the puppies (including some cuddling) we got driven back to Kiruna. We definitely recommend driving your own sled, it was an amazing exper read less

The dogs are stunning and friendly. Have some warm layers on if you visit in the winter though as it gets cold but you soon forget that when you see the breathtaking views. If your worried it will be tough, don't be. The staff are friendly and really helpful and the dogs know what they are doing! I can't recommend enough this amazing experience 10/10! read less

The volume raises and falls away. And as the dogs prepare to set out on their run, they’re excited calls whip up the other dogs that are to be left behind and does not fall away until the anchor brake comes off and todays adventure begins.
The dogs set off as if released from the racing traps and soon we escape the lights of the lodge and we’re into the forest. The snow has fallen afresh and the track is more camouflaged than most days but the dogs know their way and they charge into the night. As we leave the forest into the open land, such beauty - picture perfect. The air is crisp and it’s so quiet. Only the pants of the dogs, the patter of their paws on the snow and the sliding of the cart with the occasional break to keep the gap between the rider ahead. It’s so peaceful. I’m so lucky. I reflect in the moment that as dreams go, it was worth the wait.
Back at base, the dogs are fed, unharnessed and returned back to their homes. One by one, they’re all checked back in and then it’s time to meet the youngsters. We meet the 6 month olds first, two young dogs that like affection. One climbs my knees to get the most attention. Afterwards, it’s on to the pups. They’re one month old. They’re tiny - impossibly small. They shiver as their minute paws with spread legs touch the snow. I grab armfuls of them and tuck them all together. Their fur is soft. Their tiny ears. The snow is falling on their little black furred bodies. I put them down and grab another two and watch the ones I let go stumble over to their mum to see if she’ll let them fed. She won’t, it’s not time. And more of these little black puppies flood from their nest. Nine in all. Becoming more confident in their paws as we’re there with them and tussling with one another. And too soon, it’s time to leave. Time to leave this wonderful place and go back to our realities. A priceless experience and one I’ll remember forever. read less

The guides were so kind and we had a great chat sith them. The dogs are so cool, they are very social and needy (cuddling). Unfortunately, due to the cloudy sky we couldn't see the Northern lights.
Overall experience, 5 stars! Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone who plans to visit and stay in Kiruna. read less

The owner guided us through the kennel, telling us about the husky dogs and their life, how they are bread, what their needs are and how they behave in pack. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our 10-year-old daughter was allowed to choose to go into any kennel she wanted and was very excited throughout the whole visit. During the tour, we sat down for tea and cake together. The highlight was meeting a 4-day old puppy, which didn't open its eyes for the first time yet. read less

Dog care is of the upmost importance here and you can tell by how happy and sweet the dogs are.
The kennel is clean and well maintained and all of the dogs are taken care of and in good health.
The tours are amazing, you have the choice of either being driven on the sled or driving yourself. All in all you get to cover some real distance with the dogs (12 km minimum) so you get the real feel of being out in the wilderness.
The dog paths that are used are private and so you don’t come across snow mobiles or other dog tour companies, making the experience that much more authentic.
I got the opportunity to do a Workaway here and I can 100% attest to the passion that Jordana and Kent have for what they do and for their dogs.
I highly recommend booking a tour through them if you want an authentic and all around amazing experience! read less
