Our Drive Your Own Team Itinerary:
On our drive your own team of huskies tour, after we arrive at the kennel we give you some warm clothes and instructions on how to drive your own team. Just remember to never let go of your sled, focus on the dogs and use your brake!
Each person will drive their own team of 3-4 dogs. This depends on the trail conditions and your weight.
During our drive your own team tour we mush around 18 kms on a varied home groomed trail. The area is hand selected and the trail is created by ourselves. Thus ensuring that we cover a varied landscape of forest areas, open spaces, a creek, and swamps. Furthermore it also makes sure we drive in areas that are safe for novices but still exciting for more experienced drivers.
When we return to the kennel, you can help to feed your own team of dogs as well as help to unharness them before returning them into their yards.
We warm up by the fire with a cup of tea or coffee and a cinnamon roll. You can ask questions that you may have and cuddle with the puppies (if we have any) before heading back to town.
The drive your own team tour ends around 17:00

The winter landscape shifted from narrow passages through forest and open expansions across lakes, disturbed only by our own tracks and wildlife. We ran with a beautiful team of 12 dogs through 13km of wilderness all to ourselves, a truely magical experience.

It was a unique experience to be pulled on a sled by sled dogs through the snow-covered landscape. The dogs were friendly ans used to humans. It was also good to see that the dog kennels are clean and big enough, so that the dogs have a good life, when they are not running.
