He was very knowledgeable, patient, and a lot of fun! The dogs are extremely well cared for. The lodge where you stay for the longer tours is very nice and comfortable. L'accoglienza è stata ottima: ci siamo subito sentiti parte dell'esperienza. Malgrado il tempo non perfetto (piovviginava) eravamo tutti di buon umore. Dopo alcune brevi spiegazioni teoriche sui cani e sui cart con ruote da fuoristrada: siamo tutti entrati in azione sotto la guida di Ken. Malgrado i primi timori dopo pochi minuti grazie ai consigli e alla mansuetudine dei cani siamo riusciti ad imbragare i cani e a distribuirli su 3 cart. Un totale di 22 cani! Il tour nei boschi attorno al loro centro è senzazionale: i cani raggiungono velocità impressionanti e bisogna mantenere la concentrazione nel guidare. Malgrado ciò si riesce ad assaporare comunque la bellezza del paesaggio. Hit del tour il passaggio nel corso d'acqua per far abbeverare e rinfrescare i cani: emozionante. Il tour dura ca. 50 minuti al termine dei quali si aiuta Ken nel dare da mangiare e bere ai cani e a riporli nei recinti. Dopo le fatiche: tutti attorno al fuoco per un caffé e dei dolci come tra amici!! Da non perdere!! read less

Not for the faint hearted or for those who suffer in the cold, but a variety of experiences that you’d be hard pushed to find provided with more enthusiasm and care. From the night in the “teepee” on top of reindeer skins, through the journey to their wonderful Wilderness Hut to the 50km day trips through stunning scenery, the whole thing was unforgettable. We were entrusted with 4 dogs each and taught how to feed, harness and drive them safely, all the time being sustained by fantastic food cooked by both of our hosts. One of those weeks you will never forget - thoroughly recommended!! read less

Great personal guidance and care for guests by international owners who speak several languages. They pick you up at the hotel in mini vans, you arrive at their premises and are fitted for cold weather gear if needed, including suits for kids and boots. You feel part of their operation as you can walk around the grounds to see the dogs, the tipi tents for coffee and cookies and perhaps even the open campfire for roasting marshmallows, while they gear up the sleighs and dogs. Or you can help them gear up, which they actually encourage to get the full experience. And the owners two, young boys (4 & 7 at the time) help with everything, great if guests have kids too. And the actual sleigh ride is absolutely stunning.! The Dutch/Norwegian owners have travelled and lived all over the world, they understand what you want and need while on an adventurous holiday and that makes all the difference. No matter if you want to mush “drive” your own sled or you want to sit back and ride you will have “The Ride of your life”. The dogs are all amazing and just want to run, they are very well looked after and you can see the care and love they get from all the handlers. It really is a memorable experience. read less

After being picked up from the hotel reception, we arrived at the location to the eager to go Huskies with their barks and enthusiasm filling the place. We were given snow suits to wear which were really needed at -24°C weather. We were quickly briefed on how to drive the sledge. It was exciting and so much fun, we enjoyed every second of it. The scenes around were stunning. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Une aventure follement excitante Nous étions 2 amis et avons pris le transport inclus depuis Kiruna et le Husky Tour de jour en décembre.... read moreNous étions 2 amis et avons pris le transport inclus depuis Kiruna et le Husky Tour de jour en décembre. Le voyage s'est bien passé avec la guide qui nous parle des environs et de la vie dans la région.
Vient ensuite l'équipement : prêt de combinaison et chaussures imperméables, penser à apporter des gants, bonnet et vêtements chauds.
Ensuite nous avons embarqué avec les huskys sur le traîneau à 4 plus la guide. Elle nous a très bien raconté comment élever les chiens, les nourrir, s'occuper d'eux mais aussi parlé des environs. À mi chemin nous avons fait une pause "fika" avec un bon gâteau fait maison, thé et café. À la fin nous avons pu aider à nourrir les 12 huskys nous ayant transporté.
Globalement, on a adoré ! read less

We did the 3 day husky trip, left around lunchtime on day 1 for a few hours ride, longer ride day 2 and back by lunchtime day 3. Experienced guide and had a sled and team of 4 dogs each. We were able to get involved with feeding and preparing the dogs which added to the experience. Spent 2 nights in a wilderness lodge with no electricity but roaring fire to keep warm and a sauna if needed. Food was good. Scenery amazing! read less

The tour description describes it well. we were picked up from the ice hotel by Tina who seemed shy but very friendly once we started to chat. they gave us boots and a windproof jumpsuit. we went on a warm day and my toes still got a little cold so wear lots of layers to keep warm inluding on your hands, feet and head, including a balaclava for your face. Theo was our guide and was very friendly and informative. we enjoyed the whole experience including the sled driving, feeding the dogs, unharnessing them and stroking the puppies read less

The only downside (for some) is that you have to do more travelling to reach the location. We had fantastic weather with proper cold temperatures (below -20). I... read moreI have just returned from a 5 day experience with Husky Tours Lapland as part of a charity challenge. I had absolutely no idea what to expect but have been blown away by the experience from start to finish. Jordana, Kent, and the whole team ensured we had lots of information and knowledge and we were encouraged to have a go at everything from harnessing and feeding our dogs to collecting water from the frozen lake. The food was wonderful and the overall experience was once in a lifetime stuff! Luke and Jack provided lots of smiles and fun during our visit which made it extra special. My beautiful team of dogs: Balto, Rocket, Pipi and Punk - what a team I had. They were patient, loving and kept me safe all week. They are so well cared for and so lovely. The views were incredible. Will be recommending husky tours Lapland to everyone! Can’t wait to re read less

The team there are fantastic and make the event really enjoyable. On the evening ride we unfortunately did not see the northern lights but the trip was still magical. Although we did not see the northern lights (due to bad weather) the ride was fun. Our guide tolds us alot about raising and training the dogs. After the trip we could help feed the dogs, cuddle with them (they are really friendly) and play with the newest puppies. The staff really seemed to care about the well-being of the dogs. Will definitely recommend to anybody going to the Kiruna aea. read less

We took turns with driving, it was great fun! We were also able to help with harnessing, unharnessing & feeding the dogs and afterwards ask all questions about the dogs & the farm that we could think of. We were also able to cuddle with all the dogs that we wanted to cuddle with.
It was a great experience & we can recommend everyone to do this tour in summer - you have a lot of time to drive & cuddle the dogs - as long as you want to. read less
