Husky Tours Lapland takes your privacy very seriously. We understand and respects the importance of safeguarding your information. In providing our services to you, we must collect bits and pieces of personal information from you.
This policy will outline how we treat your personal data after collection through our booking process. These include our website, phone conversations, emails and any other means in which we have collected personal information from you.

We process personal data only in strict compliance with the Eprivacy directive and the General Data Protection Regulation and associated legislation.Pls read through our privacy policy carefully. 

What information do we collect?:

We may collect all or some of the following information in relation to you or other members of your party:

  • Names and contact/address details including telephone number and email address;
  • Credit/ debit card or other payment details (including card number, cardholder name, expiry date);
  • Special requirements such as those relating to any disability or medical condition which may affect the chosen arrangements;
  • Dietary restrictions.

You are responsible for ensuring that other members of your party are aware of the content of this Policy and consent to you acting on their behalf in all your dealings with us.

Some of the information we collect (such as health or dietary restrictions) may be considered “sensitive personal data” under the Data Protection Act 2018. We collect it to cater to your needs or act in your interest. Furthermore we are only prepared to accept sensitive personal data from you on the condition that we have your positive consent. We will seek this consent when necessary.

Method of collecting data:

We only collect personal information from you by specifically asking for it when:

  • You purchase a product or service through any and all means we accept bookings.
  • Booking directly online through our booking system
  • You speak to any of our team regarding a booking

 

What do we do with your information?:

We will use your name, mobile number, provided address and email address to complete your booking. We will send you a payment link whereby you can choose to pay either through paypal or credit card via our payment gateway Stripe. To secure the product or service you wish to purchase through our booking website (checkfront) we use the details you provide. We will also use your details to manage your arrangements, send you notifications and communicate with you generally.

At times, when we use external providers we may have to disclose information to ensure the necessary arrangements can be made. We may also disclose information to organisations who act as “data processors” on our behalf, or to other organisations that perform business functions on our behalf.

These functions include administration, providing services (and contacting you where necessary), customer care, business management and operation, re-organisation/structuring/sale of our business (or our group companies), risk assessment, security and crime prevention/detection, research and analysis, marketing, monitoring, measuring and assessing customer purchasing preferences and trends, dispute resolution, credit checking and debt collection.

Please note that we do not disclose your personal information to third parties to enable them to send you direct marketing.

We would also like to store and use your personal details for future research and analysis. We will keep all details for our research confidential.

All reasonable steps to have appropriate security measures are in place to protect your information. The transmission of information via the internet is never completely secure. We exclude our liability for personal data lost in transmission to the website.
