The track is designed by this team, away from any tourists. You’ll find 90 dogs well cared for, trained for competitions but also eager to take visitors on a 1.5 hr ride, followed by a fireside tea and cake baked by the owner. On the way there we could ask all the questions we wanted about the dogs and what the experience was going to be like. We were informed every step of the way on what was happening. We then greeted our host Lisa who was super friendly and made us feel cormfatble. We got to meet our (dog)team and put the straps on them before heading out. After a stunning and breathtaking ride we had a campfire were we chatted some more with LIsa, hearing all the dog stories. We then got to hang out with the dogs ans puppies some more before heading back. read less

We were met in Kiruna, and after a... read moreThe organisation of the tour was nothing but impeccable from the start. We were met in Kiruna, and after a short drive arrived at the husky tour location. We were asked if we'd like to be together (5 of us), as normally the sledges and team of huskies carry 4 people, and they were able to accommodate us by using a stronger team of huskies. Our guide was humorous and very knowledgeable which added to the whole experience. We stopped for a coffee in a tipi half way to refresh and get some warmth back in our toes, enabling us to cuddle and play with the dogs. When returning back to the kennels, we helped out by releasing the dogs from their harnesses allowing them to go back into their kennels.

Overall really happy with the whole experience and team, they clearly have a lot of love a respect for the Huskies, something which I think is very important for these types of businesses. read less

Nous étions un peu en avance du coup nous avons eu la chance de préparer les traîneaux et les chiens. La ballade s'est super bien passée et nous avons pu apercevoir un élan dans la forêt.
Ensuite nous avons récompensé notre team avec des encas pour eux et pour nous petit thé ou café avec friandises autour d'un feu et des chiens. Nous avons également pu rencontrer les petits chiots de 3 semaines.. Adorables. read less

Upon enquiring at the Kiruna Tourist Bureau about things to do in the area, we were surprised to learn that... read moreUpon enquiring at the Kiruna Tourist Bureau about things to do in the area, we were surprised to learn that you could go dog “sledding” in the summer! The sleds are replaced by wheeled carts, but it is the closest experience you will get of being pulled along by a team of huskies, without the freezing temperatures! You learn about the dogs, how they are looked after and how to put on their harnesses and attach them to the cart. You can then take turns “driving” the cart. After the ride, you get to feed the dogs, who patiently wait their turn!
The owners and staff are very welcoming and very forthcoming with information about the dogs. The dogs are very well behaved and are obviously well treated, which is very important to me. After the exciting ride through the forest trails, you enjoy coffee and a cinnamon roll by a log fire. You are not rushed to leave, but instead are invited to enter the dog enclosures and play with the young ones, as well as ask any questions you might have.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience with delightful people! read less

Das Wetter war super, die Hunde gut drauf und unser Guide Lisa hat alles perfekt erklärt! Wir können die Tour (sit and Drive) uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
Die Hunde sind alle total lieb und man darf sie nach der Tour füttern und in ihr „Bett“ bringen. Es gibt eine heiße Tasse Tee/Kaffee am Feuer dazu leckeres selbstgemachtes Gebäck und zum Schluss darf man noch mit den Welpen spielen :)
Ein perfekter Ausflug bei dem von der Abholung bis zum Heimbringen alles reibungslos funktioniert hat! read less

Not for the faint hearted or for those who suffer in the cold, but a variety of experiences that you’d be hard pushed to find provided with more enthusiasm and care. From the night in the “teepee” on top of reindeer skins, through the journey to their wonderful Wilderness Hut to the 50km day trips through stunning scenery, the whole thing was unforgettable. We were entrusted with 4 dogs each and taught how to feed, harness and drive them safely, all the time being sustained by fantastic food cooked by both of our hosts. One of those weeks you will never forget - thoroughly recommended!! read less

We were going to do... read moreIn my bucket list for sometime,sooo glad to have done this w/ Husky tours Lapland! We were going to do this while in Abisko but tours there were all booked. Started the morning @ the Tourist office where we got picked up by Levi along w/ 2other guys from Singapore. When we got to the location, Jordana helped us w/ snowsuits & boots. Levi, who was also our musher took us dogsledding. The Sunday weather was cold but sunny which made our ride enjoyable- taking in the spectacular views of the mountains, frozen lakes, sooo beautiful sceneries like in the movies! We stopped halfway & got the chance to pet the dogs & took some pictures. Then we got inside the lavvu & enjoyed our snacks in front of the fire. Levi gave us an insight into the lives of the huskies & dogsledding. Very knowledgeable guy, with good sense of humor. When we returned to the kennel, we had the opportunity to see & hold the puppies, thanks to Joel who was there to help us. The entire staff were efficient, organized & made our experience memorable. Highly recommended! read less
